Process Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Heat & Material Balance (HMB), and Utility Balance.
Perform process simulation using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent software.
Size and specify process equipment including:
Pressure Vessels
Heat Exchangers
Pumps
Compressors
Columns
Separators
Scrubbers
Filters
Control Valves
Safety Relief Valves
Perform hydraulic calculations for liquid, gas, and two-phase flow systems.
Prepare Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Line Lists, and Process Design Basis.
Develop Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control Philosophy, and Process Narratives.
Review vendor documents and provide technical comments.
Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and HSE disciplines.
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and Process Safety Management studies.
Support procurement during technical bid evaluation and vendor clarification.
Provide engineering support during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, energy savings, and debottlenecking.
Ensure compliance with client specifications, international standards, and statutory regulations.
